Privacy Policy

Last updated August 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Employable (“Employable”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our website and services at tryemployable.ai. Because Employable applies to jobs on your behalf, some of the data you give us is submitted to employers and their application platforms — this policy makes clear what we collect and where it goes.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you create an account and set up your profile, we collect:

  • Account details — your name and email address (including via Google sign-in).
  • Profile information — phone number, location and address, links (LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio), and work-authorization answers.
  • Your resume and the information we parse from it (skills, work history, education, and similar), plus any answers you provide to application questions.
  • Job preferences you configure (target titles, locations, salary, and filters).
  • Payment information for paid plans, which is processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number.

Information we collect automatically. When you use the site we collect usage and device data (pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location from IP, browser and device type) and use cookies and similar technologies, including analytics.

How we use your information

  • To provide the service: find and rank jobs that match your profile, prepare applications, and apply on your behalf.
  • To generate content, such as answers to screening questions and cover letters, drafted from your profile and resume.
  • To operate accounts, process payments, and enforce plan limits.
  • To communicate with you about your applications, account, and support requests.
  • To secure, maintain, and improve the service, and to comply with legal obligations.

How we share your information

With employers and application platforms. This is a core function of the service. When you apply to a job — automatically or after your review — we submit the application information you have given us (such as your name, contact details, resume, and answers) to that employer and the applicant tracking system or website hosting their application. Once submitted, that information is handled under the employer’s and platform’s own privacy practices, which we do not control.

With service providers. We share information with vendors who help us run Employable, under agreements that limit their use of it, including: cloud hosting and infrastructure; database and authentication; payment processing (Stripe); AI providers used to draft answers and cover letters; network and proxy providers used to submit applications; email delivery; and analytics.

For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Employable, our users, or others.

Business transfers. If Employable is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

AI processing

Employable uses artificial intelligence to read job descriptions and draft answers and cover letters based on your profile and resume. In review mode you can edit anything before it is submitted. We instruct our AI providers not to use your data to train their models.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then retain and delete it in line with our legal and operational needs. You can delete your resume and profile data from your account, or ask us to delete your account entirely.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most information directly in your account, or contact us to exercise these rights. If you are in the EEA/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), those laws give you specific rights, and we honor them; we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

International users

We operate from and process data in the United States and other countries. If you access Employable from outside these locations, your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different data-protection laws than yours.

Children

Employable is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take additional steps as required by law.
